Dr. Blume was born and raised in Houston, Texas. He grew up in the “suburb” of Jersey Village, northwest of Houston. Following high school, he attended Baylor University in Waco, Texas. After graduating with a B.A., with a major in Biology and minor in Mathematics, Dr. Blume was accepted to The University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio, ranked as the #1 dental school by U.S. News and World Report. Living close to the Hill Country during his four years in San Antonio, Dr. Blume acquired a taste for hiking, exercising and exploration. After graduating from dental school magna cum laude, Dr. Blume returned home to start his career in dentistry. Practicing since 1998 has given Dr. Blume the opportunity to hone his skills and deliver patient-focused care. He has concentrated on making his patients feel and look good.
Dr. Blume met his wife, Carrie, playing softball at the Post Oak YMCA, and they were married in 2005 in New Orleans. On the day of their wedding, Dr. Blume and his wife-to-be ran the Crescent City Classic 10K with 12 of their closest friends and family members. Dr. Blume and his wife are now proud parents to a daughter born in 2008 and a son born in 2010. They are active members of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in Cypress, where Dr. Blume and his wife serve in many different ways.
Dr. Lagaly met his wife, Rachel, when they were physics lab partners at Baylor. They were married in 2006 in Magnolia, Texas, and welcomed a son in August 2009, a daughter in December 2012 and another son in September 2017. Dr. Lagaly and his family attend Houston Northwest Church, where Dr. Lagaly enjoys singing in the praise band.
Outside of her love of dentistry, Dr. Norwood enjoys watching and attending Aggie sports, exploring Houston and spending time with her husband and daughter. She is excited to be a part of the Active Life Dentistry team and she enjoys getting to know her patients as well as serving their dental needs.
After college, Dr. Mathew attended the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio and graduated with a distinction in dental education. She was involved in many dental organizations including the American Student Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Delta Sigma Delta Fraternity, American Academy of Women Dentists, Christian Medical and Dental Association and San Antonio Medical Ministries.
Dr. Mathew enjoys traveling, the outdoors, staying active by running and spinning, and trying new things, from food to adventures. She enjoys going to concerts and musical festivals, watching Houston sports, and spending time with friends and family. Dr. Mathew attends Hope City Church.
After a short career in marketing and design, Dr. Isgrigg decided to follow in her father’s footsteps and pursued her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio. There, she was active in several student organizations, including Delta Sigma Delta International Dental Fraternity, in which she held the office of president her senior year. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Isgrigg enjoys country dancing, reading, and practicing yoga.
Her travels have included many outdoor adventures like backpacking, hiking, and camping. She loves animals and has fostered over 40 cats and kittens through the Houston SPCA.
